In a paper it is substantiated the necessity of greening the technical basis of mining enterprises in modern conditions of transition to sustainable development. It is discussed the ways to improve the technical basis and stages of technical and technological changes in the historical aspect. Also it is proposed concrete measures to improve the technical and technological development of the mining industry and their results in terms of the improving of ecological compatibility.
