The article describes quartz veins, which are the ore bodies of deposits of quartz-vein type. On the structural and textural criteria vein quartz is divided to giant-milky white with patches of clear columnar texture, large-giant-milky-white solid texture, massive large-giant-transparent (glassy), columnar grained translucent (around-nesting), medium-grained milky white (porcelaneous) quartz. It is shown that these types of quartz are primary (primary-growth) entities and are the product of plutonic hydrothermal processes.
