Features of application of additional tapes in the drives of belt conveyors pdf

The schemes of belt conveyor drives with additional tape, pressuring roller and several drive pulleys were considered. Classification attributes are proposed for drives with additional tape.

Six schemes of belt conveyor drives were evaluated by two criteria: the conveyor belt strength utilization factor and the number of drive’s pulleys. It is shown that the greatest increase of drive traction is achieved by applying pressuring tape.
